Rates for charging stations

A contract for parking rental can be entered into at any time. Payment is done by invoice and in advance for every month. The contract can be canceled one month in advance, calculated from the current month. The contract allows you to enter/exit the parking facility using automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR).

We also offer pay-per-use agreements for companies, which are invoiced monthly in arrears.

NB! We do not offer monthly rentral agreements for electric vehicles. Electric and hydrogen cars park at a discount in ByGarasjen. See more under “Discount for electric vehicles”

Rent a parking space

You can purchase discounted period parking at our customer service center on level 1 in ByGarasjen. This is great alternative if you need parking for a limited period of time, whereas renting a parking space monthly is for long-term needs. Period parking gives you unlimited use of the parking garage within the contract period, meaning that you can enter and exit the facility as you please within the contracted period of time.

• 7 days: 1050 NOK
• 14 days: 1800 NOK
• 30 days: 2500 NOK

No additional discounts are applicable. Please note that the contract is for one car; you cannot register multiple cars on the same contract.

Two-wheeled mopeds and motorcycles are exempt from parking fees when parking for less than 24 hours in spaces reserved for motorcycles and mopeds. These parking spots are located on the right as you enter level 2.

To register for exemption, visit our customer service center on level 1 and provide your number plate before leaving the parking garage. The exemption is valid for a single parking only. You will be exempt for paying even if you have pay-per-use agreement for automatic payment with Sesam Sesam.

Visitors with motorcycles parking for a duration more than 24 hours will be required to pay regular rates.

The charging area on level 2 towards the south (AdO, Amalie Skram school) has separate rates and entry/exit.

To charge your vehicle, you will need to supply your own Mode 3 Type 2 cable.

There is an additional fee for parking inside the charging area. The duration of your parking is determined using automatic number-plate recognition when entering/exiting the area. This additional fee is added to the regular rates. This means that the fee for the charging area is independent from special discounts, monthly rates etc.

Rates for charging stations

Electric cars with standard Norwegian EV-number plates (starting with EB, EC, etc.) get a 25% discount on regular rates.

Electric and hydrogen cars registered with a Sesam Sesam account will automatically get a 25% discount, as well as an upper limit charged per vehicle per month. The upper limit equals 25% discount on the monthly rate for parking rental.

All you have to do is to register an account with Sesam Sesam, either through the app or at sesam-sesam.com.

Please note that this applies per vehicle, per calendar month and only in ByGarasjen. Rates for charging or other additional services are not included.

Visitors with disabilities are exempt from parking fees when parking for a duration less than 24 hours. There are 10 parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities in ByGarasjen. 6 parking spaces towards Bergen Storsenter on level 1 and 4 parking spaces on level 2.

To register for parking fee exemption, visit our customer service center at level 1 by the exit and provide us with your number plate. This must be done after entering and before exiting the garage. You will also be required to provide a permit. The exemption is then valid for one parking duration, even if you have an active Sesam Sesam account.

Do you have an electric vehicle with non-standard number plates?

Contact our customer service center to register for your discount when parking. If you are parking often and wish to avail yourself of the upper fee limit for electric cars, you can rent a parking space. Please note in the comment section of the order form that it is regarding a non-standard electric vehicle.

Our customer service center in ByGarasjen is open 24/7 all year. You can find the customer service center by the exits on level 1. If you are approaching in your car, the outermost exit lane has a hatch through which you can speak to a customer service member. There are also parking spaces just outside the customer service center  that can be used for enquiries (max 15 mins).

If you have exited the parking facility without having an active account, and you have not paid at the payment kiosk, you can pay online at sesam-sesam.com within 48 hours of exiting.

If you do not pay for your parking using any of the available payment alternatives, an invoice will we sent to the owner or lessee of the vehicle. Please note that an invoicing fee of NOK 39,- will be added.
